Diagnostician Profiler Version 3.X Release Notes

Since Version 3.0 was released in February 1997, we have made many enhancements to the tool set including user interface changes and new tools. Most of the enhancements are a result of user feedback.

We are currently working on Version 4.0 which will include new tools and support for test sequencing. The Diagnostician has always selected the next best test based on a snapshot of the current suspects. In the world of test, many times tests cannot be performed until other tests have been run or have passed. For example, functional tests should not be performed until safe-to-turn on tests have passed. The new 4.0 version of the Diagnostic Profiler will implement this type of sequencing as a set of restrictions or constraints placed on each test or category of tests. This new functionality will provide a robust approach to test sequencing for both Test Program Sets and IETM troubleshooting procedures.

Version 4.0 will also include new import tools. The new HP 3070/3075 tester import tool automatically creates a Diagnostic Profiler project based on digital fault simulation data. The new Troubleshooting logic import tool automatically creates a Diagnostic Profiler project from SGML. This new tool provides a capability for capturing troubleshooting data from existing legacy systems and upgrading the static tree type logic to the dynamic model-based reasoning of the Diagnostician.

At Giordano Automation we are committed to our customers' success. If you have any ideas on how we can improve our tools to better support your needs please let us know!
