Introduction

Giordano Automation is an internationally recognized small business corporation whose primary focus is providing high technology innovative systems and software solutions to commercial, aerospace and government customers.

Giordano Automation Corp. was founded in June 1991 by Paul J. Giordano. In view of a downturn in military business, the Company pursued a rapid conversion to commercial business through productization and sales of a commercial tool set implementing model-based diagnostic reasoning technology. Initial marketing of these software products began in the U.S. in April 1994. In August, 1996, Giordano Automation was granted a patent from U.S. Patent Office on the "Method for Automating the Development and Execution of Diagnostic Reasoning Software in Products and Processes.".

Our products are aimed at designers and manufacturers across telecommunications, medical, aerospace, and office equipment industries. 

Alliances

Our software products, installed in concurrent engineering centers of large companies including Raytheon, British Aerospace, Boeing, ManTech International, and General Instrument is part of a long term alliance and partnering strategy. We expect to initiate other alliances with large companies who are seeking out our core capabilities in software systems. These large company alliances will enable Giordano Automation to pursue significant programs despite our small size. The fundamental core competency utilized by partner companies is the Giordano Automation concurrent engineering tool set which enables concurrent design of production and maintenance "reasoning" systems. Our tools facilitate reduced time to market for new products (a key factor in a competitive global business environment).

An alliance with National Instruments was consummated in June 1994 for a virtual diagnostic instrument in the LabVIEW environment. Using the National Instruments alliance, we expect to enter the commercial contract manufacturers test and diagnostic marketplace with turnkey solutions to increase productivity using model-based reasoning.

An alliance with Raytheon Systems Company for joint product development, marketing and workshare focuses on the use of the Diagnostician in the Hughes AIMSS IETM Authoring and Display Package.

Outsourcing of Professionals

The corporate culture of Giordano Automation focuses heavily on individual freedoms and the responsibilities and individual commitment that go along with an open environment. Our technical staff is one of the best in the country. As such, Giordano Automation is a very attractive source for companies that wish to outsource technology-related efforts. We provide professional services to five major corporations. We currently have approximately ten professionals outsourced to these organizations.
