Re-Engineering for Self Sufficient

Embedded Diagnostics

US Army Re-Engineering Study for Self Sufficient Embedded Diagnostics was awarded to Giordano by the Army Advanced Technology Office in Huntsville, Alabama.  During this effort Giordano Automation ported the Diagnostician run-time software on to the Motorola 68F333 Chip.  The system was demonstrated on a Rockwell Collins Global Positioning System LRU which contain multiple SRUs.  The chip was utilized in a demonstration to read the built-in-test and provide diagnostics down to component level, thereby significantly improving the embedded diagnostic capability.  The Motorola chip with the diagnostic software and knowledge base is being utilized to support the NASA SBIR Program for Embedded Diagnostics and Recovery Systems.  A guide on implementation of embedded diagnostics using the diagnostic chip approach was published for the Army.
