Generalized Automated Maintenance Environment

The Generalized Automated Maintenance Environment (GAME) is an integrated set of Commercial Off-the-Shelf software packages that have been integrated to provide comprehensive automated maintenance for large scale systems.  Although GAME was initiated for Naval applications, both shipboard and aircraft, GAME is being marketed across the services and industry.  GAME includes a Total Asset Visibility tool (Maintenix), an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual tool (AIMSS), an Operator Debrief tool (Diagnostician), a Tele-maintenance tool (HRD), a supportability data base (EAGLE) and Diagnostician applications to AIMSS and the Navy’s Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) test system.

Raytheon Systems Co. subcontracted Giordano Automation under a Navy Dual-Use Application Program (DUAP) with the Naval Air Systems Command to apply the Diagnostician to a generic Operator Debrief system.  In this application, the Diagnostician reads all logged aircraft data and identifies all operational anomalies.  The Diagnostician then correlates these anomalies to logged operational data at the time of the anomaly, and presents that data to the operator for confirmation.  The results are used to initiate Maintenance Actions on the aircraft. This application is being demonstrated for the F/A-18 right now, but is generic and can be applied to any system.

GAME also makes use of the Diagnostician as part of a Class V IETM capability.
