Diagnostician Implementation on Gunship Depot GEC Marconi subcontracted Giordano
Automation to perform all application engineering and software integration
tasks required to implement the Diagnostician's automated diagnostic reasoning
software for Air Force depot support of the C-130 Gunship Ballistic Missile
computer subsystem. This project was
originally contracted for eight shop replaceable units. However, due to the success of the
application, five additional units were added to the contract. As a result of
this implementation, GEC Marconi significantly lowered their bid costs due to
savings accrued from use of the Diagnostician.
The project was very successful. Diagnostician Implementation on JTIDS Due to the success of previous programs at GEC
Marconi,
Giordano Automation was awarded another contract from GEC on the implementation
of the Diagnostician on the JTIDS terminal system. In this program, Giordano provided software licenses and
training, and GEC Marconi engineers performed the actual applications
engineering.
